Researching a media production role is extremely important for being prepared for the role. Furthermore, research can reveal quality choices for both justification and execution in pre-production, production, post-production.
Steps
- Create a blog post titled, Role Research: (NAME OF YOUR ROLE and THE PROFESSIONAL’s NAME) – either: Screenwriter, Director, Cinematographer, Sound Designer, Editor, Engineer, Mixer, Producer, Coder, Level Designer
- Example: Role Research: Editor Walter Murch
- Embed at least one video essay detailing high level techniques
- Write copious notes under the embedded video essay
- Link the key ideas as video links to the specific times in the video
