- You may add other work experience, but conceal it until after graduation or get parent permission
- Do not share your picture
- Do not share your email address
- Do not add details that are too specific like street addresses or people’s names
- To set your profile to conceal your last name, follow the directions at the link below:

- To change your name on your profile:
- Click the Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.
- Click Privacy & Settings.
- Click the Edit icon in the top right section of your profile.
- On the Edit intro screen, update your name in the First Name and/or Last Name text boxes.
- Click Save.
Your first-degree connections always see your full name, regardless of your settings. But if you’ve turned off your public profile you can choose to display your first name and only the first letter of your last name by going to your Privacy & Settings page:
- Click the Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.
- Click Privacy & Settings.
- Select the Account tab at the top of the page.
- Under Basics, click Change next to Name, location and industry.
- Next to Display Name, select the name you want to display from the list.
- Click Save changes.
